Vegan MoFo 2016 #3: Bank Holiday Breakfast

Chickpea french toast / Linda McCartney sausages / Roasted tomato with Violife parmesan / Heinz baked beans

The chickpea french toast is based on the the classic "fronch toast" from VWAV, with some nooch added into the mix. I never had French toast pregan, but I think the main difference between French toast in this part of the world and in the US is that in the US it tends to be sweet, while here "eggy bread" can also be a savoury dish. I have to say that I prefer it savoury, with baked beans or dipped in ketchup!

  2. I love a savoury brekkie and love that you have your french toast savoury - I have tried a savoury one with seeds on it which was fun but usually I am persuaded to do it sweet with maple syrup!

  3. Yummy looking French toast! I wish those Linda McCartney sausages were sold in the states. Sounds like everyone loves them!

  4. Thanks guys! You should try the savoury french toast for a change, I really like it. L McC sausages are a long-standing, common product in supermarkets here and in the UK, and taste quite alot like traditional meat sausages so they're a popular mainstay.
