I love Umi Falafel. Everything is freshly made and the falafel is the best I have ever had. There is nothing quite like the combination of falafel and tahini-heavy houmous with fresh salad. It is just one of life's simple joys.
Luckily for me, Umi on Dame St in Dublin is within walking distance of work for lunch! I hadn't gone there before because I assumed it would be packed at lunchtime, but I was pleasantly surprised this week when I went and the lunchtime rush was handled very efficiently. A pitta or wrap costs €5, a bit expensive than a pre-prepared wrap, but worth every cent. I usually get the Palestinian Falafel, which is a packed pitta with lots of messy fillings, but this week I was in the mood for the neater, simpler wrap, the Lebanese Falafel.
