Dublin is hardly the most vegan-friendly city in the world but vegan food is quite easy to come by once you know where to look. We don't have any dedicated vegan restaurants here but there are a few vegetarian restaurants that are vegan-friendly, the ones I've been to are Cornucopia, Juice, Blazing Salads and Govindas. There's also Café Fresh, but I've haven't been... yet!
(Update December 2011: Juice has sadly closed, but we have gained Deli O'Dehli, a vegetarian Indian restaurant which I hope to visit soon)
Cornucopia is good for salad or quick food, I love their garlic potatoes and muffins (not together!) as is Blazing Salads, a vegetarian takeaway with a small shop and vegan salad bar.
I don't eat out in restaurants much, I don't quite have the money to splash, there are probably loads of places that have vegan options that I'm not aware of.
When I'm looking for something quick, both 'Its a Bagel' and Café Irie have vegan options. 'Its a Bagel' do a vegan bagel and vegan lentil soup, while Café Irie do vegan wraps and sandwiches.
There are also health shops spotted around the city (such as Nourish, Down to Earth, Holland and Barrett) which have snacks and other such vegan groceries. I also love the Asia market and Fallon & Byrne, great for unusual and international foods.
So overall, its not difficult! Especially with Happy Cow!
I'm aware that I'm lucky to be living in Dublin, I don't travel around the country much but I know that options around the country are a bit more limited, simply because Dublin is the capital and by far the most populated city in the country.
