'Defiant Daughters' and 'Running, Eating, Thinking' vegan intersectional e-book anthologies

'Running, Eating, Thinking' is an anthology of essays from vegan runners writing about the links between the philosophies of the two. For some, veganism provides the healthy fuel for sport and fighting illness. For others, running is a form of meditation on a world view that emcompasses animals. There is an interesting array of perspectives which are prefaced by editor Martin Rowe's acknowledgement that running is a sport practiced by those who are privilaged enough to be able-bodied and have the free time and safe areas in which to run.

'Defiant Daughters' is an anthology of essays by women who have been influened by Carol J Adams' book 'The Sexual Politics of Meat'. Carol J Adams' work serves as an inspiration to connect the often unhighlighted dots between animal issues and feminism, and the 21 women who contributed to this anthology share moving personal stories of how animal issues relate to issues of feminism, racism, sexual/domestic violence, self-harm and mental health, ableism, religion and LGBTQIA+ issues.

I bought both of these books in e-book format from Amazon and read them on the Kindle app on my tablet.
