I had oats, chocolate and some seeds and thought that they would make good flapjacks. Generally I find flapjacks a bit sweet and carb-heavy, so these flapjacks have added sunflower and ground flax seeds to add some protein and texture, and are sweetened with agave and maple syrup so that they are sweet without being overwhelmingly so.
To save you a long story, I didn't quite follow the recipe, as it used sugar and golden syrup and didn't have seeds (I based it on this one). After baking they were bit crumbly but taste-wise were perfect.
