Also, its all good eats for me today after how awful I felt yesterday... uggghh.. so much bread! For lunch I finally got around to making dahl (I've wanted to make it for ages), I had a big bowl of it with brown rice, that was about three hours ago and I'm still stuffed! I made a tad bit too spicy, I may have added a bit too much chilli and burnt the mouth off myself....

A Good Day With A Smoothie and Dahl
When I have time to make one I love having a big, giant smoothie for breakfast. That time was afforded to me this morning so I cut up a pear and a plum from the fruit bowl (nothing unusual was in the fruit bowl today, only fruit) and dipped into my frozen fruit reserve! Blueberries, kiwi, apple, an estranged raspberry and some kale were thrown into the blender and mixed up with orange juice (sometimes I use half juice, half rice milk to add some calcium but today I was a bit dozy and forgot!). I know alot of people put banana in a smoothie to thicken it up.. but no, god no, bananas are awful, awful things. Besides, the smoothie itself thickens up nicely with just decent fruit!
I sprinkled some hemp seeds on the top, stuck a straw in and enjoyed while reading yesterday's newspaper! And, yes, I drank it out a a Guinness pint glass! What, it was a big smoothie! You really know you're a vegan when a liquid breakfast from a pint glass is a massive smoothie...
