Santoni Café has become my favourite non-vegan vegan-friendly place in Barcelona. It is a colourful little café that has lots of yummy vegan options alongside their non-vegan staples. What I love is that the vegan options are creative and delicious, not just a lazy omission of cheese. I love their homemade chorizo seitan and toasted avocado rolls, but they also have veggie empañadas and other vegetable and pasta dishes which change daily. However the highlight is their bollería-vegan muffins and croissants. Also it is walking distance from where I work so it is a perfect and frequent lunch option. Delicious, cheap food and the loveliest staff make it somewhere I like to support despite not being all vegan. They advertise the fact that they have vegan options very positively and have really embraced it, which is great to see.

I visited Barcelona last year but I hadn't heard of this place. It's definitely going on the list for next time though, it sounds great.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo! Yeah it is really nice little place, they've recently been added to Happy Cow so hopefully more vegans will find them. It's near a frozen yoghurt shop that does frozen soya yoghurt, so that's a balanced meal sorted! ;)
