Vegan MoFo 2013- 12: London (I went to Wholefoods!)

My apologies for my absence, I was in London for a few days visiting friends. I am not sure if I will be able to meet the 20-post goal for MoFo now as I planned to have more posts up before I left, but we will see.

Anyway, when I was in London I went to the Wholefoods markets in Kensington and in Picadilly. This was the first time I had been to any Wholefoods, they are both very big and fun and slightly overwhelming (and a bit expensive)! Wholefoods is not all vegan but has a great selection of vegan goodies. You can even grind your own nut butter!

Here are a few fun things I tried from Wholefoods:

Raspberry and Elderflower kombucha, I love kombucha and it was nice to try a new brand and flavour!

Coconut yoghurt with mixed berry compote. To be honest I didn't think it was that nice, it tasted like coconut cream without any yoghurt tanginess.

Chocolate, coconut and raspberry cake from Cat and the Cream. The icing was amazing but I found the gluten-free sponge a little bit grainy and crumbly.

  1. The Kensington one is vast... like a wholefood department store. The vegan selection is fantastic, particularly the US imports... but some of the prices on Tofurky and the like are eyewatering...
