Gelaati and Juicy Jones

The fantastic thing about living in the Mediterranean is the weather.
Today it peaked at over 20 degrees, making eating ice-cream outdoors in mid-November decisively pleasant!
This afternoon I finally went to Gelaati, feeling that some ice-cream was in order! They only had three vegan flavours, a soya coffee ice-cream, a soya hazelnut ice-cream and a chocolate flavoured rice milk ice-cream (rice-cream?). The do have sorbets too, but I'm not the biggest fan of sorbet (sorry sorbet). I got a medium tub with three scoops, one of each of the delicious vegan ice-creams.

While I had intended on finding Gelaati today, I hadn't intended on coming across Juicy Jones. I was in the larger restaurant before but I'd never been in this one. I never realised how close to La Rambla it is, pretty much every time I'm in town I walk straight past it! Not wanting to leave to occasion unmarked, I ordered a cinnamon dream milkshake. Having had milkshakes at home in Shakes that were made with Swedish glace, this didn't quite compare, but you really can't go wrong with the combination of soya milk, cinnamon and apples! Especially when you can sit on the steps of a market square and watch the world go by...
