So much has been happening over the last week that I've been here that it seems to exist in fragments in my mind! I've been flicking through this month's issue of 'Cocina Vegetariana ' which has loads of vegan recipes and a section on vegan cakes!
I also saw Sea Shepherd up at the harbour. Their stall was quite busy so I didn't go up to talk to them but I did notice that they had a sign asking for vegan food donations! So if, unlike me, you have vegan food to spare, give it to the Sea Shepherd crew!
This evening I found another organic shop within walking distance of my flat, Vertitas. It's funny to me because in Ireland Veritas are a chain of Christain bookshops, which definately isn't my scene. However, here Veritas are a chain of organic shops. Not quite as big as Biospace but it does open on a Saturday evening! I got some shampoo and some tamari tempeh.
The organic supermarkets are great for stuff but the meat counters/fridges do scare me a little. I'm just not used to it because health food shops at home don't sell meat. We don't have the same organic supermarket model they seem to have here on the continent. But if I want my tempeh then I'll just have to put on my little vegan blinkers!
