Today's lunch was rice noodles with steamed seaweed and Vegan With A Vengeance's Asian baked tofu accompanied by stawberries, blueberries and white chocolate covered nuts.I made the white chocolate nuts because I have a certain fondness for the yogurt covered nuts that were so abundant during my vegetarian days.
I just melted some white chocolate buttons and dipped in some macadamias and cashews. They were pretty good but next time I might roast the nuts first so that more of their flavour comes through the chocolate.
Also, I decided to give Shakes another try today.
It was half five on a very hot Friday afternoon so I was nearly expecting them to have run out of everything, not just soya milk!
I was delighted when my request for a peanut butter milkshake with soya milk was greeted with a smile of jovial acceptance.
It cost a little bit extra than 'regular' milk milkshakes and took a little bit longer to make but my god was it worth it! The circumstances conspired to make it amazing! I was hot and tired after a long day at work and it was perfect, exactly what I needed!
I'm going to have to try the peanut butter one next week I think, I may as well give it a go... with bourbon biscuits too!!
