Bento and Mug Cake

Let me begin by saying that I love bento boxes!
I love the aesthetic and the fact that they're so compact!
I spend about half my life looking at bento blogs and forum threads!
The only thing is that the really cute boxes are expensive and reeeeally small, not really big enough to hold a substantial amount of food. That's why I was delighted when I came across this box for €3 in a little Chinese discount shop. It's meant for men so it has room for an adult amount of food!

For work tomorrow I have a veggie rasher sandwich with roasted red peppers, spinach and houmous, quinoa-black bean croquettes from 'Vegan With A Vengeance' with brown sauce in the container and some apple slices.

It even comes with a spoon and chopsticks!

Last night I made some of this microwave mug cake.
I just loved the idea that something that indulgent could be made in five minutes! It was good, if a bit dry.
Next time I'll add more liquid and melty chocolate chips!

  2. Heya, thanks!
I got it in a little Chinese pound shop on Talbot St, it was only 3 euro. I haven't been able to find any mad cute ones though, I'm still looking out for one! I saw a nice (but reeeally small) one in Arnotts, in that section that does all the cool stationary, I can't remember the name of it.
