Monday round-up 6: Breakfast in Cornucopia, carrot cake and a mistaken salad

☆ Breakfast in Cornucopia. I have been going to Cornucopia for years but have never been around for their breakfast menu. During the week I was in the city early in the morning in need of food and was delighted to finally get to see what Cornucopia has for breakfast. I got millet porridge with rice milk, banana, passionfruit and (a teacup of) agave syrup, which came with tea with soya milk and a toasted slice of sunflower seed bread with vegan butter. It really hit the spot and was great value for €6.75.

☆ A delicious carrot cake with buttercream that my parents baked, made vegan so that we could all enjoy. Vegan baking for the win!

Don't buy this!!!

☆ Salad mix-up. I bought this salad to bring with me to college for lunch. I read the ingredients list three times, but clearly I needed my reading glasses... I looked at the ingredients again once I had opened to salad to see what the dressing in the tub was and I saw honey :'(. With no other lunch options I ate the salad without the honey-laden dressing and it was quite nice. It had tahini in it already so it didn't need extra dressing. I wouldn't buy it again obviously, but it gave me idea to start putting nuts in salads. Always learn from your mistakes!
