After seeing it glare longingly at me from the dietética fridge in El Cortes Inglés for the last few months, I finally gave it and bought some Creamy Sheese. Although chedder was my poison of choice, I used to be an occasional consumer of Philadelphia cream cheese back in the day. It's not necessarily that I miss it but I was curious to see if Sheese could emulate it.
I've tried the Toffutti brand cream cheese before but I find it way too sweet, it's probably better suited to making cheesecake or icing. Everyone on the vegan-net seems to love it however, as I could barely find any reviews for Creamy Sheese. A quick glance at the ingredients seemed to indicate that Sheese contains much less sugar than it's American counterpart, so I went with it. I tried it with curious trepidation on some bread and was instantly impressed. It's the closest to Philadelphia I've tasted, I must say that it unnerved me slightly!
