A return to badly taken pictures of things I buy in the supermarket! Hurrah! I love Aldi, although I don't get to visit as often as I'd like. They often have some nice surprise vegan goodies, although I'm still a little bit angry about them adding dairy to their dark chocolate digestives (boooo)
- Salt and vinegar rice cakes: alot of brands of salt and vinegar rice cakes have secret unnecessary dairy, so I was so happy to find vegan ones. I love salt and vinegar, the more vinegary the better, and these did not disappoint!
- Green superblend powder: a mixture of wheatgrass, barleygrass, pea protein, spinach powder and spirulina. It tastes like matcha powder and was only €3.70 a packet, so win win. I've been stirring it into Alpro vanilla soya yoghurt with frozen berries and milled chia seeds. Its like a smoothie but without having to wash the blender!
- Cocoa brownie bars: almond raisin and peanut butter choc chip. These are aldi own-brand, but are pretty much the same as a different brand that they sold on special offer last year that I can't remember the name of. Datey, chocolately snack bar fun, a box of 3 for about €2.70.
- Spicy bean burgers: cheap and oh so spicy and tasty.
- Chilli and lime naan chips: I love chilli and lime, and these chips don't disappoint. They are more like pitta chips than naan but I'm not complaining.
- Chia, flaxseed and hemp mix: haven't tried this yet but I use the milled chia seeds
- Maple syrup: need I say much about maple syrup, besides that it was €4 for the bottle?
I recently found some chocolate orange coated rice bars in Aldi that are super tasty! I was surprised because I don't usually like rice cakes but yeah, they were good.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I need to see if our Aldi has this stuff. The Aldi stores in the U.S. may have different things. But I haven't been to our Aldi in YEARS. The selection here wasn't great a few years ago, but I've heard it's gotten much better.
