Next up in the Camden St vegan triangle- a chipper with a vegan menu! McGuinness Traditional Takeaway on Camden St has partnered up with Moodley Manor vegan meats to offer vegan versions of traditional chipper fare, such as burgers, kebabs and battered sausages. The menu also has pizzas, chicken nuggets, all sorts of vegan fun! Very exciting!!!
When I went they were just opening and getting their deliveries in (I met Moodley Manor's Gav, he was lovely!), so I just got a burger. The burger was amazing, a tender seitan burger on a fluffy white roll with tomato, lettuce and Moodley's amazing garlic mayo. I think there was some avocado there too. So good! I can't wait to go back and try some of the other fun fried goodies! The takeaway only opens at 5pm, so it is a place for dinner and midnight vegan munchies.
