☆ I saw Nutter Butters on one of the many vegan blogs I read, and once I had them in my mind I had to find some! I saw them in an American import sweet shop here in Dublin, and thought they were worth trying for €2.70. Eating a bag of mini cookies isn't something I'm used to, it felt a bit like eating a bag of crisps, but they were delicious. I really liked them but didn't love them, I'm not used to such sweet peanut butter. I'm glad I tried them, but wouldn't be in a hurry to buy them again.
☆ I keep seeing all of Tesco's new free-from range on UK vegan blogs and Instagram accounts, but they haven't all reached here yet. We never seem to get the full range of stuff that's available in the UK (sadface). However, I am always optimistic and keep an eye out, and at times I am rewarded with delicious treats! I found the vanilla and strawberry ice cream cones. The ice cream isn't as good as Swedish Glace, but the chocolate-lined cone, mix of flavours and bits of sauce make them delicious and novel. Also being available in the supermarket at €3 for 4 cones makes them a cheap and accessible vegan treat. I definitely believe that making all types of vegan products cheap and accessible is an important type of activism.
☆ These were my bargains of the week! The Goody Good Stuff jellies were 3 for €1 in EuroGiant and the Trek bars were 99c each in Aldi. I love a vegan bargain, especially when sweets are involved!
I keep a bag of the Goody jellies on my desk & hardly get to eat any ... very popular in the office.
