The peanut butter chocolate chips bars from Isa Does It are flapjacks but with added rice crispies to make them lighter and crunchier. I followed the recipe as closely as possible, I used golden syrup instead of rice syrup and left out the vanilla extract and added peanuts, but I think this recipe would be amenable to add-ins. The recipe is available online here. They are delicious, crunchy and a bit crumbly, which made me think that this recipe would make a great granola.
I also realised that I made them using ingredients that I bought in Lidl and Aldi, which makes them quite budget-friendly (yes, I have maple syrup that I got in Lidl!). Lidl also sell cheap vitamin D-free vegan rice crispies, which I didn't realise until recently so I may make alot more rice crispie-based treats!
