Despite seeing it in Holland & Barrett all the time, I had never tried any Dr Organic products. There are a few different ranges, and the ones that aren't clearly based on animal products (manuka honey, royal jelly amd snail oil) seem to be vegan. I got the idea to try out one of their deodorants after seeing it reviewed as part of a vegan beauty box. I have very sensitive skin and the last time I used a perfumed deodorant I had a nasty reaction to it, so I have been using a crystal deodorant for a while now. So when I saw Dr Organic deodorants based on oils I thought they might be okay for my skin. I bought the coconut oil roll-on, and as part of the buy-one-get-one-half-price offer I treated myself to a sea salt mud mask.
I have been using the deodorant for a week now and I haven't had any reaction to it, which is a relief. The scent is pleasant, something citrus-y that I can't quite pin down, the closest I can discern is a mixture between pineapple and mango. I have used the Mud Mask twice, and while it did feel tight on my skin it didn't visibly irritate it, and my skin felt softer after washing it off, so I will continue to use it.
That is good to read ... I have been looking at their / that deodorant & will get one to try when next in there.
ReplyDeleteYeah I just wish that they would describe the scent on the packaging so its not a surprise!
