Lunch in Cornucopia, Swedish Glace ice cream, reusable Keep Cup and VWAV 10th anniversary edition

Happy Summer Solstice everyone! I have been busy with dissertation work (fun fun) so I haven't been cooking much or blogging, but here is an update of some recent happenings...


☆ Lunch in Cornucopia in Dublin: A smoked tofu and mushroom filo parcel with cashew pesto, coleslaw and potato mayonaise (I love Cornucopia's vegan mayo!), a berry muffin and a bottle of SynerChi kombucha.



☆ Vanilla and raspberry Swedish Glace soya ice cream. Nothing beats it!



☆ I bought a Keep Cup plastic re-usable cup about a month ago and now always bring it to coffee shops with me. So far I haven't had any objections from baristas. I don't drink coffee these days so Earl Grey with soya milk is my go-to if I feel like something caffeinated.



☆Vegan With a Vengeance 10th anniversary edition. I don't buy alot of cookbooks but I love Isa Chandra Moscowitz's books, and have a great fondness for VWAV. It was one of my first vegan cookbooks, and I thought that my ugly, battered copy could do with an update for the 10th anniversay.

    I have thought about buying the anniversary VWAV as I have all of her books and like to be obsessive about such things. From posting on the PPK forum there appear to be some new recipes ...

  2. Hi Anne! Thanks for the comment! Yeah there are a couple of new recipes in it, but it is mostly the classics. I have nearly all the Isa books too, except Vegan brunch and the vegan cookies one!
