Matcha soya latte from Usagui Japanese café
Usagui café is a quaint little Japanese bakery/café on a quiet side-street in Gracia. On glancing at the menu the option of a matcha latte immediately appealed to me, but thought it was unlikely that they would have soya milk in such a small café. But before I conceded and got a genmaicha (which I also love), I asked about soya milk and was pleasently surprised to be told that they did have it as an option. So I excitedly ordered the matcha latte, which turned out to be a beautiful green frothy affair with just the right level of sweetness. Plus it come in such a beautiful bowl! Definitely worth the €3.90 (€3.70 plus 20c extra for soya milk). They also have vegan mochi options, I was told that their classic red-bean mochi is egg and dairy-free.
