RTÉ had a feature on its televised news this evening about the state of turkey farming, advising people to go for the Bord Bia labeled turkeys over imported turkeys, as if it matters. The fact that the respected state broadcaster can report on the annual cull of these beautiful bird in such horrific, warped way, stating that the poor turkeys are nearly ready to be 'prepared' for Christmas is highly objectionable. 'News' reports like this makes me glad that I'm currently unemployed and not paying taxes. I'm disgusted that my tv licence fee is funding what is essentially propaganda.
