Eating Around The World Begins With Germany

Eating around the world begins humbly with the German oddity we call sauerkraut. I've had a jar of it in the press for ages and finally plucked up the courage to try it! Inspired by a few recipes I came across on cooks.com, I made a sort of coleslaw, adding grated carrot, apple and onion and mixing it up with some mayola, my favoured brand of vegan mayonnaise.
Next time I might add some vinegar, but I am a bit of a vinegar fiend.
As a lover of savoury foods I adore the saltiness of sauerkraut, I'm definitely a sauerkraut convert! Thank you Germany!

  1. Woo hoo! Finding new foods to love rocks! I am scared of sauerkraut, but maybe your courage will make me braver! :)
