I don't wear makeup or generally engage with the 'beauty' industry but I do like to paint my nails the odd time. Barry M nail varnishes are vegan, inexpensive and available in lots of fun colours. I've bought them in Boots and Superdrug but I've also seen Barry M stuff available online on sites selling vegan cosmetics.
Other items in the Barry M range are also vegan but not all items are, so check the website. All vegan products have a symbol, a V in a green heart as pictured below:
