On one of my cherished days off work I discovered that the Asian Market on Drury St in Dublin city centre has gotten in a new range of frozen soya-based faux meats which seem to be vegan. The range includes chicken, mutton, ribs and fish. I tried the mutton pieces, not because mutton sounds in any way appealing but because they were 60% mushroom. I'm impressed, they're predictably mushroomy, savoury and not too chewy, a nice addition to a stir-fry or a curry.
