I'm always willing to be a falafel tester, even if I do have to pay for the privilege! These Florentin brand organic falafels are quite nice, a little on the dry side perhaps. My favourite brand has to be Cauldron. I went to buy them last week at the Tesco up near work and they'd sold out of them.
I'm sure everyone's heard of the newest non-dairy milk on the market, Kara coconut milk. My dislike of coconut put me off trying this but once I heard that it doesn't taste like coconut I threw caution to the wind and bought some. Its a really nice, thick milk, not too sweet, a good alternative to soya milk for cereal. And its true, I can't taste any coconut! The bf thinks it does taste coconutty but I can't taste it so its all good!
I'd heard of Dr Bronner's castile soap, it's fair-trade, organic and can be used as a soap, body-wash, bubble bath, shampoo, anything you want really! I bought some of the Almond soap in the Cultivate centre on Andrew's lane for €6.75. It's quite watery so at first you're not really sure how much you're using. However, once you get used to that it's grand and it smells like marzipan! Plus reading all the little messages on the bottle keeps you amused in the shower!
Also, it's all over the blogsphere that the new-recipe Jammy Dodgers are vegan! I've already eaten two packets!
Mmm anything that tastes/smells/sounds like (!) Marzipan, I'll buy it!!! :D

ReplyDeleteYou gotta love a good vegan sausage! There is a coconut milk here, I think they called coconut beverage, that is pretty good too. It's the So Delicious brand and it doesn't taste like coconut either, though Mr. Wing-it thinks it does. It's quite tasty! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Dr. Bronner's! I make hand soap with it and pour it into an old foam-pump soap bottle once a week. It's awesome!

River- That's a really good idea to put it in a soap dispenser, I will do that :D
Aw I can't believe they changed the Cauldron falafels! :( they changed their tofu too and it's no longer organic or GMO free. Boo!
