My new office is within 5-10 minutes walk of three different health food shops, which means lots of fun lunchtime snacks and treats!
☆ Meridian peanut butter and berry bars. The combo of peanut butter and berry is reminiscent of a peanut butter and jam sandwich. The texture of the bar is quite thick, it can feel like eating a slab of peanut butter, but I think the berry provides enough contrast to stop it being too cloying. It has added protein and is very filling.
☆ Naked flavour-infused raisins. I was sceptical that raisins could taste like lime or cola, but they really do!
☆ Vego mini bar. I hadn't tried the famous Vego bar, despite having been in the Vego restaurant in Berlin! The bar cost €3.20 which was expensive for its size. I wasn't sure whether to expect a milk-style or dark chocolate but it was actually gianduja, chocolate mixed with hazelnut paste. It was delicious and very filling but I'm not sure if it was worth the cost to me, I'm not sure if I would buy it again. Tesco used to make gianduja but I haven't seen it in a few years :(
