9 bars have been around for a long time, and while their original bars contained honey, their most recent varieties, 9 bar breakfast bars and 9 bar Indulge, are vegan. They've continued moving in this vegan direction with a recent reformulation of their original bars, with new packaging and rice syrup instead of honey. I'm always happy to have more options.
I saw these cookies in the health food/protein bar section of Supervalu, and couldn't resist trying one. Besides the hilariously odd packaging, I was curious to see if they actually tasted like a cookie or if they were more of a protein delivery system. It is a very American product, both in the style and packaging. The cookie is huge and soft, and is really nice. More like a nutient-fortified cookie than a protein bar. I suppose its not bad for €2.95 and there are lots of different flavours available.
I love Aldi, and once again it has provided me with delcious and chep vegan options. This chocolate-hazelnut cereal is definately more of a dessert cereal than a breakfast cereal, it is very sweet!
