Inspired by this post on the Vegansaurus blog, I've decided to share my favourite quick, convenient, instant or almost-instant vegan snacks. I love to cook elaborate dishes (which sometimes serve as left-overs!) but sometimes life gets in the way!
- Tinned soup (2 or 3 minutes in the microwave), with bread or dark Ryvita
- Soya yoghurt with frozen fruit, ground linseeds, muesli or nut butter
- Alpro soya dessert with Spar chocolate spread or nut butter
- Toast with sunflower spread, Marmite, houmous or nut butter
- Toasted houmous or Cheezly sandwich made in a toaster bag in the toaster
- Dark Ryvita with houmous or Toffuti cream cheese
- Baked beans on toast
- Tortilla chips with houmous, salsa or mashed avocado
- Biscuits or chocolate
- Left-over food from the fridge or freezer
- Cereal with one of the many varieties of plant milk
- Ice-cream or sorbet
